Books were a big part of our Christmas. Two holiday visits revolved in large part around my father's book, German and Jew, that was reissued in paperback in 2001 (Ivan R. Dee Publisher). And then, as Meher wrote, we devoured Marjane Satrapi's two books (Persepolis, Perspolis 2).
This book was a major time-sink last year (and the year before; click on the cover image to have a look at some sample pages):
At the same time as they were working on the book night and day, the second and third authors were making sure that the Green Plant Herbarium, where I also work, was going to look like this (photo by Thanh Nguyen):
