...is on the eastern edge of Toronto, above Highland Creek, not far from where it empties into Lake Ontario. We can get to trails that follow the creek and mostly lead through woodlands where we see deer and foxes. Also, salmon spawning in the creek. Unfortunately, we don't need to go into the woods to see raccoons. |

Besides the proximity to green spaces, the attraction of where we're living is the architecture. We're in a complex of four connected buildings totalling 54 units on three floors that surround two courtyards. No corridors for us , as would be the case if we lived in most apartment and condo buildings. |

Inside our apartment Meher is working on screening the big living room windo with plants, in order to give us some privacy without blocking out the light. |

Life at Eesti Kodu. We have settled in fully at EK and are enjoying ourselves. As I mentioned in my first writing about EK, this building is for senior citizens, 55+ year-olds. Last year this time was a bit crazy with Adam and Steph moving into our house; John Simon had already been living there for a couple of months. We all worked together to clear our stuff out. We had planned to have a condo-warming party in the fall last year, but that did not happen, so we had one last month. |
